At Ragdoll Haven, we understand how exciting it is to welcome your new Ragdoll kitten home. Whether you’re nearby or across the country, we take every precaution to ensure your kitten’s journey is safe, comfortable, and stress-free.

Local Pickup

We always encourage families to pick up their kitten in person whenever possible. This allows us to meet you, go over care instructions, and ensure your kitten transitions smoothly to its new home. Local pickups take place at our cattery by appointment only once your kitten reaches the appropriate age (usually between 12–14 weeks).

Ground Transportation

For buyers within driving distance, we can arrange ground transportation with a professional, USDA-licensed pet courier. Your kitten will travel in a temperature-controlled vehicle, receive regular check-ins, and be delivered directly to your door.

  • Transport is available across most U.S. states.
  • Rates vary based on distance and courier availability.
  • We coordinate all travel details and keep you updated throughout the trip.

Air Cargo & Flight Nanny Services

For families located farther away, we offer two flight options:

  • Flight Nanny Service: A trained flight nanny personally accompanies your kitten in the cabin of the aircraft and delivers it to you at the airport. This is the safest and most comfortable option for long-distance travel.
  • Air Cargo Shipping: Available only when weather and airline conditions are appropriate. Kittens travel in a secure, climate-controlled pet compartment with airline-approved carriers.

All flight arrangements are made with your kitten’s safety in mind. We only use airlines and couriers that specialize in live animal transport.

Travel Preparation

Before any travel, your kitten will:

  • Receive a full veterinary examination and health certificate.
  • Be up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming.
  • Travel in a clean, comfortable carrier with a small blanket and a familiar scent from home.

Delivery Timeline

Kittens are typically ready to leave for their new homes at 12–14 weeks of age, once they are fully weaned, litter-trained, and have received their final vaccinations. We’ll keep you informed of your kitten’s growth and provide estimated travel dates as your pickup or delivery day approaches.

Buyer Responsibilities

It’s important that someone is available to receive your kitten upon arrival. Please inspect your kitten immediately after pickup or delivery and contact us within 24 hours if you have any concerns. We are happy to assist you in making the transition as smooth as possible.
