At Ragdoll Haven, the health and well-being of our Ragdoll kittens are our top priority. We take great care to ensure every kitten leaves our home happy, healthy, and ready to become part of your family. Please review our health guarantee policy below.

Veterinary Health Check

Every kitten is examined by a licensed veterinarian before leaving our cattery. Kittens are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and come with a detailed Health Record signed by our vet. We guarantee that your kitten is in good health to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale.

Health Guarantee Period

We provide a 72-hour general health guarantee from the time of purchase or delivery. During this period, you are encouraged to take your new kitten to your veterinarian for a health examination. If your vet finds a serious illness or congenital defect that was present before purchase, please contact us immediately with written documentation from the examining veterinarian.

Genetic Health Guarantee

Our breeding cats are tested and clear of known genetic diseases common in the Ragdoll breed, including Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). We offer a 2-year genetic health guarantee against life-threatening hereditary defects. If such a condition is diagnosed within this period, we will offer one of the following options:

  • A replacement kitten of equal value (upon availability), OR
  • A partial refund, depending on the situation and documentation provided.

Conditions and Requirements

To keep this guarantee valid, the following conditions must be met:

  • The kitten must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase.
  • The kitten must not be exposed to other animals until cleared by your vet.
  • The kitten must be kept indoors and provided with proper nutrition, housing, and veterinary care.
  • The buyer must not declaw or allow the kitten to roam outdoors unsupervised.
  • This guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original buyer.

Exclusions

The following are not covered under this health guarantee:

  • Minor illnesses such as colds, parasites, or stress-related issues that are common in young kittens.
  • Injuries or health problems caused by neglect, accidents, or poor nutrition.
  • Feline infectious diseases contracted after leaving our premises.
